Mackenzie County is using a new approach to envision and prepare for its future.
The County wants to involve residents in thinking about:

• a long-term vision for the County
• what would need to be done to achieve that vision

The reason for this is to make sure that County leadership and its economy remain strong over the long-term.
By having both, the County can then make sure that is has the capacity to:

• meet the County’s social and recreational needs
• help strengthen its distinctive cultures and the relations between them
• preserve the long-term health of the environment

We are calling this our “Community Plan.”
